This tour allows to discover the valleys of the area on an easy track, that also connects to other paths. It’s perfect for MTB lovers.
Starting from Casere, take the dirt road towards Valle del Lupo, following the signs for Val Dongoli and Monte Ferrera. The dirt road starts to climb up to an open space where you turn left, following the directions for Pra Marsc and Ussola. Then take the path on the right that, with a continuous up and down, reaches Pra Marsc. The dirt road continues downhill and crosses the Combi farm, where you can buy local products. Finally reach the Old Road to Maggio, continue on the left until the crossroads to Mezzacca, remaining on an easy dirt road until the source of San Lorenzo (Maggio). Continue towards Val Desio and then Casere, where you started, first on a path and then on a dirt road.
For the more experienced, there is a variant: just before the intersection between Pra Marsc - Ussola and the ascent to Monte Ferrera, stay on the dirt road that after a while becomes a path; from here begins the fun descent until Canale Guzzi to finally arrive on the Old Road to Maggio.
